**Job Summary**

**Hours**

Practice opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm.

The post is full-time 37.5 hours per week, covering the late shift. Working pattern can be discussed at the interview.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure an effective and efficient Reception Service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the Practice.
- Assist the Reception Manager in supervising staff.
- Receive and make phone calls as required.
- Proactive management of the appointment system.
- Deputies for the Reception Manager for patient issues at the Front Desk.
- Use own initiative when dealing with problems and to make any reasonable and necessary decisions.
- Assist Reception Manager in training staff and ensuring Practice protocols and procedures are being adhered to by all reception staff.
- Ensure patient and Practice information is kept confidential and secure at all time, in accordance with the Information Security and Confidentiality protocols.
- Assist in promoting and maintaining your own and other’s health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health and Safety policy. Ensure that any hazards in your working area are reported to the Operations Manager.

- £10.75 per hour, dependant on experience.
