Production Supervisor

*The Role*

This position is responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, to ensure that all our products leave the factory on time and of a high quality. To produce products efficiently and to assist with maximising resources and minimising costs. To consistently strive for manufacturing excellence and comply with best practice in all areas of the manufacturing department. To ensure that the production area is clean and tidy by ensuring all colleagues are working in a considerate manner at all times. To ensure all training guidance is being followed when operating machinery or a piece of equipment.

*Day to day responsibilities: *
- Oversees the daily operations of the production department. Trains and supervises all employees on shift and coordinates production processes.
- Operates the ridge roll machine following standard operating procedures and completes the relevant quality documentation.
- Assists the Manufacturing Operations Manager on quality control throughout the production facility.
- Flexible in carrying out other assigned duties, across multiple shifts including machine cover for breaks and absence or additional resources as and when required.
- Ensures high quality in an efficient and timely manner, ensures all materials are available and shortages reported.
- Facilitates in the production of parts to different specifications and build requirements
- Ensures equipment and machinery are properly maintained and promptly repaired.
- Enforces compliance with health and safety policies and procedures and reports/investigates near misses and accidents
- Provides reactive cover at other sites within the company when necessary

*Qualification and experience: *
- Experience of working in a high-volume production environment is beneficial
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail essential
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for jjjjjmaximising the effective manufacture and distribution of goods, desirable although full training will be given
- Experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment desirable with a Quality and H&S mind-set
- Motivated and Flexible with good communication skills

*Shift Pattern*

Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00

*Pay Rate*

£10.30 per hour plus £2500 per annum supervisor allowance.
