Aylesbury, United Kingdom Buckinghamshire Mind Full time

**Description**:
**Safe Haven Team Lead**

***

**Salary: £27,300 pa (FT, 37 hrs pw), actual £18,077 pa**

**Hours: 24.5 hours pw, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with 5 additional flexible hours, preferably Tuesday Morning**

**Contract: Permanent**

**Location: Aylesbury**

**Buckinghamshire Mind is seeking a Weekend Team Lead to supervise and support a small team of Mental Health Crisis Support Workers within our Safe Haven Service.**

***

Safe Haven offers a welcoming, safe, friendly and non-stigmatising environment for people to access in times of a mental health crisis. The service offers an ‘out of hours’ facility as an alternative to A&E or secondary care mental health presentations for those without physical need.

The service has been developed to offer person-centred individually focused support to meet emotional need and to provide support to build resilience. Additionally, we work alongside service users to review situations that are contributing to crisis, create safety plans and raise service user awareness of support within the community and within multiagency partnerships.

As the Lead of this team, you’ll naturally have skills in working with mental health and you’ll also have the ability to inspire and motivate your team, and to run a high-quality service.

As this role is based in the community there may be some travel between the two site locations in Buckinghamshire, you’ll need access to a vehicle for use during work hours. Alternative transport arrangements will be considered.

**Who we are**:
**We connect. We support. We influence. We deliver services in our local communities, in Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire. We promote wellbeing and recovery; we prevent mental ill health; we offer talking therapies and we provide support in times of crisis.**

**We are an independent charity that is proud to be affiliated with national Mind and to adhere to its quality standards of governance and service delivery. Buckinghamshire Mind is part of a network of over 100 Local Minds, which provide trusted mental health services to our communities.**

**Together we are Mind. Open, caring, experienced, unstoppable, together.**

**We stand up for mental health. Our services change lives. For support. For respect. For you.**

**What’s the opportunity for you?**

This role provides a real opportunity to develop your skills in working in the mental health charity sector, to develop skills in crisis management and in safety planning. You will be supported in the growth of your leadership and management skills and be part of a supportive organisation and have the opportunity to see your work bring about positive change.

You’ll receive monthly supervision and support with your personal and career development.

Please see job description for full details and a description of all the Bucks Mind benefits.

**How to apply**

**Interviews - to be arranged.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
To manage and motivate Aylesbury based Buckinghamshire Mind Safe Haven Workers.

To provide vision and high-quality line management, support, and supervision to the staff team, in addition to working collaboratively as part of the Buckinghamshire Mind Operational Management Team.

**About Buckinghamshire Mind**:
Buckinghamshire Mind is an independent charity providing high quality services to support and represent people with mental health needs in the local community. We work to provide a voice for people with mental health needs, to fight stigma and campaign to influence policy and decision making locally. We are committed to making sure our services are inclusive and meet the diverse needs of people in Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire.

Buckinghamshire Mind is run by local people for local people and is responsible for its own funding and the services it provides.

We are an independent charity that is proud to be affiliated with national Mind and to adhere to its quality standards of governance and service delivery. Buckinghamshire Mind is part of a network of over 100 Local Minds, which provide trusted mental health services to our communities.
