Morr & Co are looking for an experienced marketing professional to join a friendly, professional, and busy Marketing and BD team. Reporting into the Marketing & Business Development Director, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on a broad range of the firm’s marketing and business development activities. This is a diverse and hands on role working across all areas of the business, where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the profile of Morr & Co.

The fundamentals of the role
- Work with the MBD Director, Managing Partner and HODs to create and deliver initiatives that support and help drive forward the marketing and BD initiatives identified in the firm’s business plan, as well as plans for each department plans, and any specific sub-plans for niche areas
- Create and deliver initiatives that raise the general profile of our practice with key commercial targets & referrers
- Responsible for creating, delivering and monitoring the performance of initiatives that raise the profile of the firm and its practices with key audiences, including businesses, individuals and families, across each target market and region
- Identify and encourage cross selling opportunities between all departments
- Undertake strategic research on clients, targets, referrers and competitors
- Be the first point of contact for all pitches and work closely with the MBD Director and the relevant fee earner to deliver client focused and tailored pitches and presentations
- Work with others in the team and external agencies to deliver marketing and BD objectives using digital marketing activities, including the firm’s website, social channels, SEO and paid campaigns
- Responsible for creating and delivering client events such as conferences, hospitality events, webinars and seminars and ensuring they are delivered to the right target audience efficiently and on budget
- Attending relevant events (internal and external) to represent and promote the firm
- Work with various teams across the firm to create client focussed and engaging content, including blogs, press releases, articles client newsletters, thought leadership pieces and video content
- Work with others in the team and external agencies to create marketing collateral and promotional materials and coordinate an effective online and offline advertising strategy in each region
- Working with practice leaders to produce legal directory submissions, such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500
- Responsible for creating compelling submissions for industry and regional business awards
- Manage and report on the tracking of new business leads and monitoring campaign ROI
- Regularly engage with colleagues in each department and office to get feedback on our existing events, looking for improvements and to discuss new opportunities
- Support the delivery of internal staff events, such as the staff conference and social events
- Support the Marketing & BD Director on other projects and initiatives
- Degree educated - a marketing qualification would be an advantage
- Have at least 3 years’ experience, ideally working within Professional Services in a Marketing & BD role
- Be proactive and be able to act independently.
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- Ability to plan and implement a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously
- Have a creative and innovative approach to creating and delivering marketing and BD plans
- Organised self-starter with ability to work under pressure and influence others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and a team player with drive, enthusiasm and the ability to think creatively.
- Driving Licence and car an advantage
