GLL is currently looking for Trainer Assessors based at Andersonstown LC. Join us as a Trainer Assessor and play a key role in the developing the skills of Lifeguards. This is your chance to deliver monthly lifeguard training sessions that all our lifeguards have confidence when on pool duty and learn an invaluable life skill.

We’re looking for Pool Trainers who are approachable, with the friendly, patient nature needed to build people’s trust, motivate lifeguards and encourage them to be a good lifeguard. You’ll need to be RLSS NPLQ Generation 10 Trainer/Assessor plus deliver Pool Extraction Board and AED training. Knowledge of health, safety and other relevant legislation will be vital too, as will an understanding of Child Protection Policy.

What you will do:

- Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to staff and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional poolside and classroom service.
- Ensure the safety and control of the staff within monthly training sessions and to ensure that all relevant regulations applicable to the centre’s operation are enforced and complied with.
- Assist with new lifeguard staff starting as required by the General Manager.
- Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure & Behaviour policy’
- Record and complete relevant records in line with expected standards, ensuring that Lifeguards are competent for pool duty.
- Trian to the standard set within the product manual to ensure a consistent approach throughout all the centres.
