**Graphic Designer**

**Maternity Cover (12 months)**

**£30,000 per annum, pro rata**

**22.5 hours per week**

Colten Care is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our well-established and driven Marketing team on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Our busy and creative in-house department values both traditional design and modern media to bring our brand to life. You will create innovative, effective and high-specification designs for projects ranging in size and complexity.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Working from a creative brief, you will ensure that brand integrity is maintained and use your graphic design skills to successfully interpret requirements, matching creative to the desired aims and purpose whilst adhering to timescales for print and production within budget
- With excellent attention to detail you will undertake relevant research for content material and ensure editorial, grammatical and spelling accuracy
- In line with continuous professional development, you’ll stay up to date with the latest innovative concepts and tools in graphics, sharing information, ideas and best practice with other team members, collaborating closely with other in-house and third-party designers whilst reporting to the Head of Marketing
- At times, you may take the lead on creative projects where you will demonstrate good leadership qualities and vision
- Our creative team is a bustling hub of activity where a calm manner under pressure is essential

**About You**
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Graphic Designer, ideally within a busy agency environment or in-house creative studio
- Experience in print marketing as well as digital
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
An understanding of Premier Pro, After Effects and XD would be extremely beneficial
- Good understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
- You will be an effective and highly motivated team player with a flexible approach and strong multi-tasking skills, able to work proactively and show initiative on projects
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to manage relationships across
multiple departments
- Ability to work proactively and independently, and as part of a team
