Our client is looking to appoint a Legal Secretary to be based in their Inverness office. This is an excellent career opportunity for a suitably experienced individual and the purpose of the role is as follows:

- Provide typing and secretarial support to the team including fee earning staff.
- Dealing with general client enquiries, face-to-face, via the telephone, or electronically.
- Advise new clients on procedure and requirements.
- Manage Solicitors’ diaries.
- Provide excellence in communication between clients, Solicitors and colleagues.

**Duties include**:

- Respond to day-to-day issues and undertake appropriate action.
- Undertake digital audio typing.
- Ensure all typing and secretarial duties are undertaken to the highest standard and within specified timescales.
- Provide a high level of client service when dealing with internal or external clients / customers.
- Carry out general office administration duties such as typing, scanning, filing and answering the telephone.
- Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks within the Department as required.

**Person Specification**
- Previous secretarial/administration experience.
- Good standard of education.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers, including clients, colleagues and Partners, verbally, by telephone and in writing.
- Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships as part of a team.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Respect for others and a commitment to equal opportunities.
- Commitment to continuous personal development and a willingness to undertake training as required.
- Able to accept responsibility and show initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure and to be flexible.
- Ability to prioritise workload.

**Desirable**
- Prior legal experience.
- Competent and proficient audio typist.
- Excellent presentable appearance.
- Pleasant disposition.
- Confident, enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable.
