The Scottish Government has committed significant investment to local planning partnerships to enable them to build capacity and deliver transformational system change in how whole family support services are provided in each area. In Stirling this is a key element of how we will collectively keep The Promise.

We want to ensure children, young people and families can access the support they need, where and when they need it. We are creating a multi-disciplinary Intensive Family Support Team which will offer families access to holistic support that is wrapped around their individual needs.

Our vision is to support families at an early stage of intervention, as well as at times of crises. This support will allow families to build resilience and coping strategies with the aim that they do not need to receive support from statutory services.

This team will work on transforming the delivery of family support, shifting towards preventative intervention, and in future reducing the need for crisis intervention. We are looking for a dynamic, confident and highly motivated individual with degree level qualifications and successful experience of working in a management role to lead this team.

This individual will have responsibility for developing a range of flexible, multi-agency supports to ensure that children have improved outcomes across their childhoods and are supported to remain safely at home with their family, and in the Stirling Council area.

As part of transforming service delivery this post could involve working evenings or weekends, in line with the needs of the service. This is a time limited post (2 years) in line with the Scottish Government Whole Family Wellbeing Monies, with the potential for extension in future depending on the release of further funds.
