**About Our Client**:
Our Client, based in Poole, boast over 40 years of retail hire experience, and are one of the leading names in the UK for their field. They are seeking a credit controller to join their small yet friendly team.

Credit Controller role:

- Proactively managing all credit accounts to reduce bad debt potential
- Responsible for 300-600 live accounts
- Proactively manage credit accounts to reduce the outstanding number of overdue arrears days to within agreed credit terms
- Respond to and resolve all queried sakes invoices within 5 working days to improve cash flow
- Immediate and accurate allocation of payments received against credit accounts
- Ensure that all communications with credit accounts customers are accurately recorded to maintain accurate records
- Take sales ledger credit card payments as and when necessary, ensuring that these payments are taken in accordance with the company's best practice policy for mail order transactions
- Operate direct debit function within credit control to ensure that payments are received at the correct time and that all direct debits legal requirements are met
- Produce an aged debtors report on a weekly basis with detailed information of current action for bad debtors
- Recommend to the Finance Manager and take the most appropriate action in relation to a credit account holder who fails to pay within the credit period
- Input sales invoices onto various customer portals on a timely basis
- Prepare spreadsheets detailing invoices raised to send to specific customers ion a monthly basis

**The Successful Applicant**:
Credit Controller:

- You will have an analytical and problem solver mind-set
- Able to negotiate effectively
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- A customer service attitude and the ability to clearly articulate information
- Strong IT skills; Microsoft Office and accounting software
