From September 2024 we seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at Grange Primary School.

We are looking for someone who:

- is energetic, creative and passionate about learning and development.
- is an excellent practitioner who has high expectations and aspirations for all children.
- has previous experience, skills and the relevant qualifications to effectively support SEND children in their early stages of learning and development
- is able to draw on a bank of prior skills and knowledge to effectively support children in their next steps in learning and development.
- Has a comprehensive knowledge of alternative forms of communication and experience of working with pre-verbal children.
- has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a great sense of humour.
- contributes to the overall aims and ethos of our school.

This is a permanent position from September 2024.

You would be expected to lead interventions both 1:1 and in small group situations, in all areas of the curriculum, as well as contribute to the planning process. You would be mainly supporting autistic children who have differences with communication and interaction and therefore it is essential you have experience and/or knowledge of supporting the early development of language. On occasion, you may also be required to participate in meetings that concern the educational provision for the children you support.

We are excited to be appointing for the following four positions, please see below:

- 2x Specialist Teaching Assistants with expertise in SEND and EYFS

8.45am to 3.15pm (Monday and Tuesday)

8.45 - 12.45pm (Wednesday)

(15 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year)
- 2x Specialist Teaching Assistants with expertise in SEND and EYFS

11.15 - 3.15pm (Wednesday)

8.45am to 3.15pm (Thursday and Friday)

(15 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year)
