An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced senior nurse to work in our out of hours team here at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a really exciting role that incorporates aspects of nursing care, physical assessment and clinical decision making. The post holder will be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills and work jointly with clinicians in assessing patients’ clinical needs and implementing and evaluating care.
If you have a strong focus on patient care, proven leadership skills and are able to work across inter-professional boundaries then we are keen for you to join our expanding team. You will need to be able to demonstrate ability to effectively manage a team and have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to lead and motivate staff. Competence in physical assessment and clinical decision-making is essential.

- Provide advanced practice, leadership and professional support out-of-hours, ensuring clinical teams deliver safe and effective care, and ensuring patients are care for in the right place, at the
right time and by the appropriate staff.
- Work with clinicians and colleagues to deliver a quality patient-focused service.
- Provide clinical expertise to Hospital at Night service.
- Co-ordinate the Hospital at Night service to ensure priority for patient care.
- Demonstrate specialist clinical practice, knowledge, skills and experience and lead by example

**What we look for**:
- Advanced clinical practice and leadership skills to assess patients and support staff to care for acutely unwell patients from all specialties across the organisation
- Work alongside clinical teams to deliver quality and safe care
Coordinate and work at part of the clinical team working at night across multiple clinical areas and professional groups
- To supervise and educate more junior members of the team to support the development of their knowledge and skills in practice.
The team deals with a diverse range of clinical and organisational issues in a variety of settings. Acting as one of the most senior clinical leaders on site out of hours, the ability to think creatively and make decisions under pressure is a must.
