An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Healthcare of the elderly inpatient therapy team for 12 months to cover maternity cover.
- To continue to further develop the necessary skills, clinical expertise, leadership and training to ensure the provision of a high quality, effective Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy delivery for patients on the Health Care of the Older person (HCOP) wards.
- To take a lead therapy role in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the service provided to inpatients
- The overriding purpose requires the post holder to adopt a flexible approach to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement, ensuring the team meets the requirements of national standards and evidence based practice.
- Assessing and advising around discharge destinations
- Progressing patients towards their rehabilitation goals
- Supervising and delegating to band 6 and band 5 rotational physiotherapists and therapy assistants
- Leading on service development within the team
