**Protocol Education are working alongside Secondary schools throughout Salisbury and the Surrounding areas to work a Behaviour Support Assistants.**

**About the Role**:
Working as a behavioural support assistant you will provide support for students with SEMH needs who may find it difficult or be reluctant to engage in education. This will include building rapport with students and creating positive relationships which influence them to regulate their behaviour.

Additional skills in working with **ASC/Behavioural needs** is not essential. However, if you have experience with ASC and PMLD students or have training in PEC’s, Team Teach, Makaton, ABA, Hoist, Manuel handling, Personal Care, this will aid you in your placement at the school. Furthermore, people from backgrounds including** Sport, Coaching and Youth Work** also show relevant skills to successful in the role.

Location**:Salisbury**

Times**: 8:30 till 15.30 pm (Depending on the school)**

Pay**: £11.80 - £13.00 Per hour (depending on experience)**

Days**: Monday to Friday - applicatant needs to be able to work the whole week.**

Start Date**:September**

- Care deeply about pupils academic, emotional, and personal development and have empathy for their individual circumstances.
- Have a supportive and encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and to motivate students.
- Be confident in working closely with other staff and parents to bring about positive change for each child.
- Be able to use their initiative in meeting the needs of the student, depending on their individual communication, and learning skills.
