Kitchen Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary operations and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the culinary industry and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced cafe environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, making sandwiches, quiches
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the chef or kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- Help with serving customers and clearing tables
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively with colleagues
Note: All positions at our company are paid positions. Internship positions are also compensated accordingly.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £8.60-£11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
