**Salary**: Starting - National Minimum/Living Wage

Contract term: Permanent

No. of positions available: 1

Working Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

07:30 to 17:00 - Mon & Tue

08:30 to 17:00 - Wed & Thu

08:30 to 15:00 - Fri

Due to location of the factory having your own transport is an advantage.

**My client is **one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of herbal medicines, food supplements, and medical devices within the UK. Their UK site in Irvine, Ayrshire has a production and packaging facility where all of our products are bottled in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

**About you**:
**Main actions & responsibilities**:

- To assist with the bottling and packaging of medicinal and food supplement products, and to ensure these goods are filled and packaged accurately to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards
- Understand and follow all GMP procedures and participate in relevant training
- Set up and operate bottling and packaging machinery
- Complete packaging paperwork accurately and to company standards.
- Comply with Health & Safety procedures
- Following training, to assist with the maintenance of bottling and packing machinery, ensuring its smooth operation, identifying faults & working with the supervisor and any external engineers on repairs and ongoing maintenance
- Keep the production rooms & machinery clean and clear to GMP standards and, assist with planned preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules
- Communicate with and work as part of the team, helping the department meet production deadlines effectively
- Provide support to other production related departments as and when required

**Experience, Skills, Qualifications required**:

- Previous experience of working within a product bottling environment and ECA’s would be advantageous but not essential. Evidence of any temporary or voluntary work will be beneficial
- Educated to Standard Grade or National 3/4/5 level with passes in English and Maths as a minimum
- Computer literate
- A good standard of numeracy and literacy skills as the role involves doing calculations and completing various pieces of packaging documentation
- An organised individual who can effectively contribute and work well with a team whilst using their own initiative
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships, ensuring effective communication with colleagues
- An interest in machine operation, repairs and maintenance.
- Attention to detail is essential as critical procedures must be adhered to when bottling and packaging medicinal products and food supplements
- Trustworthy, self-motivation, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
