We are currently looking for a friendly individual to join our team. We are an independent pharmacy located in Mitcham and pride ourselves on providing good patient-centred care.

As a Counter Assistant you’ll be the first point of call when patients visit the pharmacy. You will be involved in giving healthcare advice and supporting pharmacy services. This involves working across the healthcare counter and the retail shop floor.

Your role includes:

- Ensuring patients receive a friendly and attentive service
- Communicating with patients regarding prescriptions and over the counter queries
- Supporting the delivery of professional services in the pharmacy
- Assisting in improving over the counter sales
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment at all times
- Operating a till and cash handling
- Answering the phone and taking messages
- Stock management - including checking goods in, placing orders and date checking
- Medication deliveries to patient’s homes

Essential requirements:

- Part-time position for 24 hours/week. Monday-Saturday (9am-6.30pm).
- Previous experience of working within a pharmacy is not necessary, as training will be provided.
- Flexible, Reliable and Hardworking
- Able to work extra hours to cover staff shortages, holidays and busy periods.
- Proactive, Organised and Self-Motivated
- Well Presented, Confident and Excellent Communication Skills
- **MUST HAVE A DRIVING LICENCE.**:

- Good IT skills
