**THE ROLE**

The Finance Assistant is responsible for the day to day processing of all invoices; ensuring correct approvals and sign offs have been granted. Your tasks as Accounts Payable will include but will not be limited to:

- To assist the Director of Finance and Financial Controller with the processing of all incoming invoices and expenditures including purchase orders, invoices and statements.
- To compare purchase orders to invoices to ensure there are no discrepancies and then distribute to relevant departments for approval.
- Audit bills for errors and correct as necessary.
- Reconciliation of all statements; requesting missing invoices and making adjustments where necessary.
- Prepare all appropriate period closing reports and entries.
- Maintains up-to-date Accounts Payable records and reconciles monthly all Accounts Payable ledgers (i.e. Trade suppliers, accruals, prepaid etc.) against General Ledger.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting role.
