Production Operative/labourer

Our client based in Stoke on Trent are looking for plant labourers to work within a factory that carries out galvanising steel, We have vacancies on the day shift, The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm plus overtime.

These are temp to perm positions for the right applicant. The role involves:

- Completing all duties required of the galvanizing process as directed by your supervisor in a prompt and timely manner
- Inspecting customer products prior to galvanizing
- Drilling holes in the steel prior to jigging
- Correctly hanging the steel on the racks for an effective and correct galvanizing finish
- Fettling steel to remove dangerous spikes
- Stacking the steelwork in a safe manner, reporting defective galvanizing to ensure it is corrected
- General plant housekeeping

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract

**Salary**: From £9.75 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
