Sheffield, United Kingdom Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) is hosted by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) and provides collaborative and bespoke procurement solutions to the public sector. A wholly NHS owned organization, the NOE CPC brings together a wealth of experience, understanding and knowledge, providing collaborative procurement and commercial solutions to the public sector and is one of the leading players in collaborative procurement within the NHS in England.

We have a vacancy for a Data Specialist, working on NHS procurement data in the business intelligence department of the Technical Services team.

As Data Specialist within the Technical Project Office you will need to:

- Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel, with experience in SQL and Microsoft Power BI
- Understand how to analyse, cleanse, compare and assess data from a broad variety of different sources
- Understand how to visualize spend data for non-specialist audiences, highlighting actionable insight
- Work as part of a team of data specialists developing new dashboards, reports, outputs and insights for the business and our stakeholders
- Provide data and information knowledge to project groups and teams within the business
- Align with one or more of the NOECPC business teams, gaining domain knowledge specific to those categories to allow you to tailor the insight you provide to the team. This role is intended to align with our Marketing, Events and Lease Car teams so knowledge of web technologies, social media and search optimisation would all be advantageous

Familiarity with Microsoft data management tools is key.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. As a teaching trust with strong links to local universities, we are a centre of excellence for teaching, research and development.

There are many benefits of working for LYPFT including fantastic employee wellbeing support, 27 - 33 days annual leave, flexible working and remote working arrangements, the NHS Pension Scheme (LYPFT pays 20.6% into your scheme each year), coaching, support and opportunities for career development and training and education support alongside a range of exclusive discounts and payment schemes including for cars, extra leave days and more organisations such as Blue Light Card, Health Service Discounts and NHS Discount Offers.

NOECPC utilizes spend and procurement data gathered both from our stakeholders and nationally to identify and action opportunities for savings, cost avoidance or improvement for NHS organizations across the north of England.

As a data specialist within the technical project office, your role will be to gather, assess and cleanse that data from a variety of sources, and then define, design and present that data to stakeholders both inside and outside the business.

As part of the role you will closely align to one or more of the categories that NOECPC operates in to better gain understanding of category specific data requirements. This role aligns with our Marketing, Events and CPC Drive functions - as such, experience with web technologies, SEO, website design and development will also be useful skills to have.
