As a School Place Planning Officer you will help the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead meet its statutory duty to ensure there are enough school places to meet demand.
About the role
The School Place Planning Officer will provide administrative support for the School Place Planning and Capital team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with statutory processes related to school place planning.
- Compiling and maintaining up-to-date pupil records.
- Helping to monitor school capital spending.
- Working with the Capital Budgets Officer to help maintain up-to-date school floor and site plans.
- Developing our team's web presence in partnership with Achieving for Children's Digital Content service.
About you
You will have a passion for Achieving for Children’s vision, mission and values to support children and young people to live safe, happy, healthy and successful lives. You will have:
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use a range of digital hardware or software to support your work effectively, i.e. Microsoft and Google software.
- Strong organisational abilities including: time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving and multi-tasking.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently with limited management oversight.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills that are open, honest, persuasive and pragmatic, including excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
