We offer support to individuals with learning disabilities and other associated needs in the community. To live how they choose, promoting citizenship, whilst supporting them to learn and retain skills to further promote their independence. How do we work best? We put the individual at the centre of everything that we do.

- **What will the role entail?**_

You will be supporting a vulnerable lady on a 1:1 basis in her own home and in the community, your duties will include the following: Support/prompts with personal care, meal prep cooking, household tasks such as cleaning and completing the weekly shop. Full support with medication prompting and administration, activities at home and outdoors.

We are not like other community support providers, we don't like the idea of short calls where there's no quality. We have longer calls so you can develop and grow relationships and get to know the individuals you are supporting. Job satisfaction is a must here at Living for Life Cumbria.

In addition to this role we also have hours available in our supported living service in Harrington and our residential service Ava House based in Maryport. Supporting with daily living and other activities as required. These hours can be incorporated into the working week to condense working hours to promote a healthy home/work life balance. Flexi hours can be explored.
- **What you need for the role**_

To be considered for the role of a support worker you will: be kind, caring, considerate, and enthusiastic and demonstrate empathy. You will be willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check paid for by Living for Life Cumbria Ltd.

It is desirable that you hold a full UK Driving License but it isn't essential. Have the same outlook as Living for Life Cumbria Ltd. Quality over Quantity as well as having a good level of written and communication skills.
