**Clinical / Forensic / HCPC registered Psychologist**

As the Clinical / Forensic Psychologist this role requires an in-depth experience of supporting children and young people who may have experienced sexual abuse and advanced assessment, formulation, and therapeutic approaches. To support children who mayhave a need for psychosexual understanding and approaches to sexually harmful behaviour (SHB). With skills and experience to ensure ?the teams in residential care and school are fully supported.

**Clinical / Forensic Psychologist Role Requirements**:

- HCPC registered Psychologist, e.g. Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist or UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist
- Essential: Experience of working with young people who display sexually harmful behaviour
- Essential: Substantial experience of delivering evidence based therapeutic support in a children’s services context - local authority or CAMHS or services for Looked after children
- Essential: Substantial experience of mental health assessment, formulation and treatment/intervention of children with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature in child and adolescent mental health
- Desirable: Experience of developing and carrying out research projects

Every member of the team has completed or is working toward certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (individual and families), as well as Therapeutic Care Training and Story Stem Assessment Training. In addition, each member of the team gainsaccess to an online training platform, which includes CPD-accredited training courses with renowned clinicians, such as Drs Bessel Van Der Kolk, Janina Fisher and Pat Ogden.

They place high importance on developing their staff team and ensuring that they provide opportunities for flexibility, variety and career progression into leadership roles as the team continues to grow and expand.

They get together for 2 fully-funded team development days three times a year, to connect as a team, and think about ways to continue to grow, develop and progress. These days are always a highlight, as they think big and make things happen.
