City Centre Therapy is one of the most successful practices in the Northwest. With two full time clinicians with over 100,000 client hours between them, they have invested in continuous training over the years to provide the most up to date psychological and neuroscientific interventions to help clients achieve their goals. They are now looking for someone who has the key basic knowledge of counselling and psychotherapy but wants to train and learn to be the very best therapist they can.

Two key components make a good therapist. Technical ability, you need to know what a client is suffering with, an idea to why and how to treat it. If you don’t, you need to have the drive and desire to find out. The second component is the most vital. You need to recognise that the most important vehicle to help a client move is the relationship you provide them. You know how to adapt and change to meet the complex dynamics of your client and you need to demonstrate a coherent and expressive explanation to why and how the relationship is key to success. If you can meet both components, we would love to hear from you.

City Centre Therapy is a successful and oversubscribed practice in the heart of Manchester. We are looking to grow and train our team to be the very best.

We are looking for someone who is wanting to work at with at least 5 clients on the same day. We have room for one day in the week and one day on the weekend.

You will want to know how to practice interventions that help you identify and treat (this list if not exhaustible)

Trauma

Health Anxiety

OCD

PTSD

Personality Disorders

Bi Polar

Emotional Dysregulation

Attachment and relationship issues.

Phobias

Depression

We do not expect you to be able to have all the skills, we are looking for individuals who are aware of their strengths but more importantly their knowledge gaps and have a strong desire to learn beyond the scope and limitations of their qualifying course.

We are interested in hearing from individuals who have 2 years’ experience post qualification and have continued to practice.

Payment is on a self-employed basis of £25-£30 per session based on assessed competency. The training provided is free and comprehensive but will not count as a session.

There is also the need to be patient for your client number to increase from going live on the website. This could take up to 8 weeks.

**Salary**: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
