Outdoor Play Specialist
Overview:
Do you have a passion for making sure children get the most out of their outdoor play?
We are looking for an outdoors enthusiast to help us maximise the learning potential of our impressive outdoor space.
If you love to be out in the fresh air in all weathers, making the most of the glorious natural world, then this may be the role for you.
The role would involve managing the use of our outdoor area to provide a range of learning opportunities in line with the EYFS and being the lead on improvements for our outdoor provision. A Forest School qualification would be an advantage, but not essential, as would experience with educating young people in an outdoor, adventurous role.
In this role, your main responsibilities would be:
- To create, deliver and analyse high-quality outdoor learning activities for children aged 0-5.
Supporting other staff with developing their own confidence with delivering engaging and purposeful outdoor learning opportunities across the EYFS curriculum.
Co-ordinating the management of our outdoor space to ensure it is inspiring and meets the needs of our children, with risk assessments in place to allow our children to explore their capabilities and take reasonable risks.
Caring for children as an Early Years' practitioner, planning exciting, purposeful learning across the Early Years' Curriculum alongside your team.
Responsibility for safeguarding children through up to date training, risk assessment and following The Granary's policies and procedures.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications but will be above national living wage.
Please note the nursery is not accessible via public transport so your own transport is essential.
Pay: £24,390.00-£26,650.00 per year
