Pest Control Supervisor

**The Vacancy**
Job Purpose:
To carry out City’s Statutory duties in connection with pest control. Provide solutions and services to eradicate insect, bird and rodent infestations in Asda’s stores, depots and Living premises. To carry out the Supervision of the Pest Control technicians within regions ensuring all works are being adhered to as in the Asda specification and Company Health & Safety policy.
Key Accountabilities
- To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the IST and ASDA colleagues.
- Oversee the eradication of pest infestation within any Asda Red Stores as published on the Weekly Pest control Report.
- Complete quarterly Quality Review visits (QR’s) to ensure standards are being met within stores and depots and that all necessary paperwork and detailed reports are completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
- In conjunction with the MTC, manage the Pest Proofing Asset Plan. This will include the compiling of detailed specifications and signing all completed works off.
- To Supervise & support delivery of the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
- Supervise all other pest proofing works, ensuring that competitive prices have been obtained and the works are implemented correctly.
- Carry out full audits/inspections to new stores compiling detailed reports on any potential pest proofing issues.
- To supervise, monitor and control the work, attendance and timekeeping of the Pest Mate(s) to ensure quality standards and efficiency are maintained. Specifically in respect to

- To prioritise work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- To ensure all staff are aware of and understand company practices and procedures relating to Pest Control systems.
- Carry out inspections to concessions within ASDA stores
- To order equipment & Materials to the laid-down procedures.
- To ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete works are available and serviceable at all times.
- To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Company.
- Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary
- To be the primary contact for any operational issues and point of escalation for the teams should any issues arise
- To complete absence management paperwork
- To complete appraisals for Technicians within your area
- To deliver training to the Technicians within your given area
- All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
- To carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
- To be proficient in the use of written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures.
- To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
- Ensure all mandatory Evolve on-line training modules are completed.
- To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- To work with company and ASDA colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
- To represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop a good working relationships with City and ASDA colleagues.
- To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.
Financial Responsibility:
- To carry out work in the most cost-efficient manner.
- No budgetary accountability.
People Responsibility
- This role is responsible for managing regional PEST teams
- To represent the company in a professional manner always and develop a good working with the technicians, Supervisors, Operations Manager and Head of Department.
