**The role**:
We are looking for a HR Advisor to provide advice and guidance to the business on the recruitment of new staff, the retention of current employees and to drive and deliver a strong, effective HR function with people at the forefront of its mind.

You will be a true HR generalist who is happy to carry out a host of HR tasks, ranging from supporting line managers with employee relations issues, to recruitment and onboarding, through to ensuring that HR data is organized and managed effectively. This is a really varied role, and a great opportunity for a seasoned HR Advisor who is looking to develop their experience in a standalone role.

You will be a natural people person with excellent communication skills. You will be proactive, and able to approach employees and managers with confidence, at all levels. You will have a good, rounded understanding of common areas of employment law, and the ability to recognize when to reach out to our legal team. In addition, you are someone who is happy to simply roll up your sleeves on occasion just to get stuff done.

**About you**:

- A minimum of CIPD L3, or demonstrable equivalent qualification, or experience.
- Previous experience working as a HR generalist, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar sector.
- A minimum of 2-years of experience with providing support and guidance to line managers in a number of employee relations areas including: Sickness Absence, Disciplinaries, Grievances and Performance Management.
- Demonstrable experience with delivering quality recruitment and onboarding services to a business.
- Confident and effective communicator.
- Good instincts and understanding of employment law and case law.
- Ability to find the information needed when unsure of how to proceed.
- Problem solver and confident decision maker.
- Ability to build good working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
