This is an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work within a dedicated, mental health, community enablement pathway, whilst supporting the current Transformation programme across secondary mental health care services within Coventry and Warwickshire, following substantial new investment.
We are as excited by this service development and the opportunity it provides to improve patient care, reduce the need for inpatient treatment and contribute to the development of innovative interventions. The expansion of services will provide clinicians with an opportunity to shape its development and evaluate new ways of working in the field; part of a well-established but expanding multidisciplinary team.
This opportunity will utilise and develop the skills of a support worker to work within a rehabilitative framework of empowering and enabling, whilst maximising independence and adhering to a recovery focused outcome whether this be employment, training or sustained meaningful activity and routine.
The post holder will be expected to support and promote a set of values that maximise the potential of individuals by promoting their recovery with the aim of reducing social exclusion, stigma and the potentially disabling effects of severe mental illness. Therefore, this role will primarily focus on one to one and group interventions which are practical in nature.
The post holders will be expected to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with the people they work with and will offer a range of, outcome focussed interventions.
