**The Post**
The post holder(s) will be required to work as part of a team co-ordinating activity and communicating effectively, as well as taking initiative to contribute to the smooth running of the technical support services.
- Electroencephalography (EEG) Lab Management.
- Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS).
- Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
- Eye Tracking

**Description of Duties** Shared Duties within the Faculty Technical Team**:

- Provide technical support for laboratories and teaching in the use of a range of equipment and software including EEG Recording Equipment, Eye tracking, Virtual Reality and Physiology Measurement
- Stock management and procurement of consumables, scientific and computing equipment
- Provide technical support to staff and students in experiment design, data collection and analysis using software systems such as E-Prime, PsychoPy, R and MatLab
- Other general duties associated with division operations: issuing of lab equipment, experimental apparatus construction, and preparing materials for use in teaching
- Develop and work with new technologies
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and guidelines and undertake Health and Safety risk analysis under supervision of the lead technical specialist
- Additional duties as and when required by the Division or Faculty

**Essential Criteria**
- HND or equivalent level qualifications
- Experience of providing specialist technical support for teaching and/or research projects
- Experience in acquiring EEG or TMS data
- Experience in data processing and analysis
- Ability to contribute to a team working environment
- Willing to continually update skills and knowledge as changes in technology and software take place
- Demonstrate time management skills including ability to prioritise workload

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience of working within an academic institution
- Experience in experimental software programming e.g., E-Prime, PsychoPy, Python
- Ability to manage, track and maintain equipment and facilities
- Evidence of liaising with a range of customers and colleagues
- Experience of Health and Safety procedures and legislation
