The Steamer Coffee House & Kitchen with over 100 covers and unlimited free parking has become a destination for food and coffee lovers from all over the region. We pride ourselves on locally-sourced, perfectly cooked and presented food alongside a stream of exciting family-themed events and the best coffee in Devon and other locally sourced produce. **Role and Responsibilities**
- Develop, maintain and manage positive working relationships with your team, suppliers and the General Manager.
- Work with the GM to build documented processes and procedures and ensure they are being adhered to by the team.
- Work with the GM to manage, nurture and develop the venue team, who are at the core of our success.
- Running the day to day ops with the team, including serving customers and assisting with ordering
- Open & close the business following procedures using documentation
- Respond to customer enquiries online, face to face and by phone
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Support driving sales through increased footfall and Average Transaction Value
**Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- 1 Years supervisory experience
- Outstanding customer relations skills are essential
- Able to follow and police processes and procedures (essential)
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines (essential)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team (essential)
- Able to use own initiative to analyse and problem-solve on the fly (essential)
- Experience in the food & drink / hospitality industry (preferred)
- Barista trained (beneficial but not essential)
- A flair for or experience in marketing (beneficial but not essential)

**Hourly rates & Benefits**
£9.50 - £11.60
28 days leave Pro Rata

**Location**
This role would be based at the venue, which is located between Cullompton and Willand in Devon.
**Working hours**
The Steamer is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Mon - Friday and 9.00am - 5.30pm for weekends. As the business grows evening openings are planned and opening hours will flex in line with the business needs. It is important to note that this role will include weekend working.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £9.50-£11.60 per hour
