General Summary:
As a Talent Intelligence Lead, you will be responsible for driving trend research and analysis of talent and labor market data with a focus on key international markets. This information will influence business decisions and strategy as well as guide regional and local Talent Acquisition strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of Vertex’s Global Talent Intelligence, Sourcing, and Insights team, the Talent Intelligence Lead, International will provide market research, talent insights, data, and consulting support to our sourcing and recruitment teams, Human Resources, and the business. Our goal is to provide talent insights and intelligence that will support recruiting, workforce planning, new market entry and broader business decisions and strategy, while supporting our overall mission to identify and bring the best talent into Vertex.
- Act as an ecosystem expert in the markets/functions in which we operate
- Monitor, track, record, and communicate key market developments in our markets/businesses/functions ie: key people moves and company updates
- Report on labor market trends, hiring scarcity, talent flows, and mergers/re-orgs
- Understand and report on talent supply and demand, compensation trends and the competitive talent landscape in general
- Support for location strategy; labor market, quality of installed talent, volatility, etc.
- Promote talent intelligence across Vertex and use data storytelling to communicate findings and recommendations from talent, competitor and labor market data to drive business results
- Produce accurate and professional reports using data from a number of platforms, including Gartner Talent Neuron, Lightcast/EMSI, and LinkedIn Talent Insights
- Utilize data from Vertex talent acquisition platforms (including ATS and CRM) alongside external intelligence to provide a full picture of the recruiting environment and provide recommendations to drive efficiencies and improvements in the recruiting process
- Help to build and maintain a competitive intelligence database, qualifying and extracting information from multiple data sources
- Support our sourcing teams in conducting extensive market research including talent demographics, skills availability, and competitor intelligence to find top talent pools to tap into
- Support our diversity recruitment efforts by providing market insights
- Create reports for Global Talent Acquisition and business partners and stakeholders to show recruiting performance, industry hiring trends, talent migration, location insights, diversity, talent pools, and competitor activity
- Name generation for critical roles in support of recruitment

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

- BS/BA degree or equivalent proven experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, talent acquisition, labor economist, or related field
- Experience using talent insight and labor market tools like Gartner Talent Neuron, LinkedIn Talent Insights, and/or Lightcast/EMSI, as well as LinkedIn Recruiter and SeekOut
- Experienced using ATS, CRM, and/or external platforms to identify talent
- Strong sense of ownership; ability to take responsibility for the full lifecycle of projects from scoping to delivery
- Strong verbal and written communication and numerical skills as well as consultative and strategic thinking with sound business / commercial acumen
- Good ability of data “story telling”, and in producing creative and accurate presentations
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrix and global business environment
- Strong analytical, consulting, and problem-solving skills; able to identify areas of improvement and make sound recommendations to solve problems
- Exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive workforce data
- Strong initiative and attention to detail
