A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Healthcare Professional to join The Placement Expansion Team, who is passionate in supporting the ongoing development of a multidisciplinary placement expansion strategy, with the emphasis on digital technology.

We are an ambitious Education Team and are seeking a team player to maintain high quality learning environments and positive learner/trainee experience, in identifying elements of clinical placement that could be delivered digitally/virtually to increase placement capacity as part of our Digital Education Strategy.

As a Placement and Digital Expansion Lead, you will work with the digital education task and finish group to utilise the technology and digital support available to oversee the creation of appropriate digital placement resources and to turn ideas into solutions.

Be responsible for exploring the potential for the use of digital and virtual learning as a mechanism for delivering elements of clinical placements across all professions.

Support development of a Multidisciplinary placement expansion strategy with an emphasis on digital technology, whilst maintaining high quality learning environments and Learnerexperience.

Workclosely with learner/ trainee co-ordinators and clinical educators to identify elements of clinical placement that are able to deliver activity digitally/virtually to increase placement capacity.

Work with the learning environments to build on current capacity across the MDT with the ongoing support for supervisory models, eg 2:1, remote supervision, CLIPWork closely with the clinical educators to develop their digital skills and knowledge to embrace and develop new ways of working.

Work with the digital education group to utilise the technology and digital support available to oversee the creation of appropriate digital placement resources and to turn ideas into solutions.

Work with the Placement Expansion Manager to ensure learning models and resources have appropriate SOP’s and governance arrangements and the progress and impact are measurable.

Work with the Placement Expansion Team to build on current clinical placement capacity and new projects to enhance the learner experience and offer. Youwill be expected to travel across both trust sites and other education settings.

Communication and Relationships

To directly support the delivery of the Digital Education strategy which will run in parallel to project delivery plan and ensure key stakeholders within HEI’s, Professional Leads/Heads of Service, Placement Expansion, Clinical Placement Support and Clinical Educators are both engaged and informed of project progress.

Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with peers, promoting partnership working and sharing of resources to support clinical and practice learning at all levels.

You will have to provide and receive information where persuasive, motivational skills are required.

To communicate, advise and influence colleagues from a wide range of professions in relation to the project progress and the actions to be taken, in achieving agreed objectives.

To communicate confidential and sensitive information to the Digital Education Task and Finish group.

Be able to persuade motivate and influence others both internally and external to the Trust on the importance of professional education, practice placement and ongoing quality assurance.

To communicate and work collaboratively with all Education Teams/Leads and key stakeholders.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by specialist professional knowledge and knowledge of education and development practice.

To write reports, project plans and associated project documentation.
