**About this role**

The role is specifically focussed initially on work with our utilities and infrastructure clients in the regions working with the existing team and client in the delivery of a variety of project. Initially training and experience will be given by an appointedmentor with a mix of office and onsite work/experience and gradually progress into taking more responsibility in tasks and projects.

**Day to Day work**
- Identifying and “referencing” landowners through desk based and field research
- Formulating and maintaining project information databases
- Preparing plans using CAD or GIS software
- Negotiating consents and access and installation of apparatus for utility companies
- Understanding and implementing safe systems of work
- Conducting the review and settlement of damage claims
- Undertaking administration of wayleave records

**About the team**

The Infrastructure Projects team is made up of a national team of over 60 staff and 40 consultants in all parts of the UK. The team have main project offices in Ayr in Scotland, Wimborne in Dorset and Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, complimenting the widerSavills 130 national offices.

The Infrastructure Projects team undertake all sizes and types of major infrastructure, utilities and renewables projects and is made up of a diverse team of Apprentices, Graduates, Trainees and Surveyors.

Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an Apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about deliveringthe best service possible for your team and clients.

- Ability to work to timescales to ensure project delivery process is not impeded

- Excellent communication skills

- Punctual, reliable, keen and enthusiastic
- Thirst for knowledge and self motivated
- Full UK driving licence

**Training**

5 year training programme, which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of the undergraduate degree) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification. On the job trainingis provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the 6 year apprenticeship to qualify successfully.
