Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit Street Lighting Installation Operatives & Crane Installation Operatives to work on our Projects contract in and around Reading.

As a/the Street Lighting Installation Operative/Crane Installation you will be part of our construction/installation teams who are responsible for new schemes and projects.

The projects team is based within the SCC PFI contract and installs street lighting and electrical infrastructure on the highway.

**As the Street Lighting Installation Operative/HGV Crane Operator your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- Installation of street lighting electrical equipment
- Installation of Private cable networks
- Installation of feeder Pillars
- Excavating for equipment
- Reinstatement of surfaces
- Sign off - Completions
- To report any defects
- Act in accordance with all company and legislative Health & Safety requirements.
- To update inventory information on assets using PDA’s/Tablets
- Update as built information as required
- Daily Vehicle checks are undertaken and the vehicle is kept clean & Tidy
- To ensure members of the public are kept informed of works and are not put in danger due to works being undertaken.

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- MEWP category 1b - Desirable
- G39 - Desirable
- First Aid at Work
- NRSWA Unit 1-8 or equivalent
- Operation of Crane - Essential for Crane role
- HGV Class 2 Licence - Essential for Crane role
- Manual Handling
- ECS Test
- Part 1 / Level 2 Electrical Qualification - Desirable

**Additional Information**
- An understanding of Contract Drawings
- Must be flexible in approach to work in all weather and conditions.
- Must be flexible in approach to location of work in and around the South, Hampshire, Oxford
- Night time working may also be required.
- Street Lighting Knowledge an advantage
- IT Literate
- Be able to work within a team or on own initiative
- Emergency Call-out cover
