Consultant Sonographer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Sonographer to join the Sonographer led Ultrasound service at a Consultant Sonographer level.

The Ultrasound department provides a wide ranging service including, abdominal, small parts, gynaecological scans as well as specialised procedures such as HyCoSy, CEUS, FNAs, MSK and Vascular ultrasound. A wide range of examinations are performed including In Patients, AE, OP and GPs.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced Sonographer to bring their expert practice to the department and assist the current post holder to teach, develop and mentor the sonographers. In addition there will be opportunity for clinical audit, practice and service development and research and evaluation.

The Ultrasound service is forward thinking and progressive so there would be an opportunity to further develop your own skills in areas such as interventional ultrasound procedures.

Applicants who wish for full time positions will also be considered as there would be an opportunity to work as an 8a on the remaining days.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent people skills, both with colleagues and patients.

Have the ability to motivate and actively encourage teamwork within the Ultrasound and Imaging department.
