Are you a skilled and versatile individual with a passion for maintaining and enhancing built environments? We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant/Handyperson to become a key player in our dynamic team.
If you have a knack for planned preventative Fabric and Building Maintenance Services, along with a keen ability to address reactive works, we want to hear from you.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will spearhead a range of essential tasks driven by the client's CAFM works order system. Your focus will predominantly be on fabric-oriented services, including Building, Joinery, Painting, and Plumbing, Nottingham based but also covering sites in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the Midlands area.
Your role will encompass a balance of scheduled maintenance activities and prompt response to unforeseen repair needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the efficient, timely and cost-effective provision of self-delivered supplied building services to the client mainly within the remit of building, Joinery, Painting, plumbing and porterage services
- Assembly and repair of office furniture and equipment
- The clients CAFM system is kept fully updated with all relevant task updates, through to completion via laptop
- Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory and/or safety inspections tasks within your remit
- Ensure 100% compliance with all site M&E HSQE requirements on sites within your remit
- Develop and Maintain effective relationships with the Client, Suppliers and Key internal contacts
- Develop Hard Services and Fabric scopes of work / SLA’s
- Ensure all relevant site SOPs and processes are fully complied with
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance activities via the Planning Scheduling team and work order planning process
- Follow the agreed end-to-end process from works order requests
**Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications**
- Minimum GCSE/NVQ Level 1/2 or equivalent
- Driving License
- Worked in a similar position with at least 3 years experience
- Experience working with a CAFM system using for managing jobs PPM/Reactive
- Office furniture repairs and assembly
- Good and confident communicator - both written and verbal
- Knowledge of process driven environments
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures
- Ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team
