**Role Description**

To provide skilled technical support to the PFM Manufacturing sites by requesting, approving and maintaining ingredient specifications and suppliers’ certifications (including packaging information) and ensuring information contained is compliant with customer requirements, relevant legislation and group policy.

To complete an inherent risk assessment of raw materials and packaging items prior to entering the manufacturing environment.

To accurately populate and maintain the RP Central Spec System with all relevant raw material data, certifications and approved specifications.

**Requirements and Skills**
- Capable of spotting, questioning and challenging safety data on raw material and packaging specifications where necessary.
- Consistently able to manage their own workload and deliver on time, every time.
- Complete regular gap analysis against changing legislation, customer polices and BRC / PFM manufacturing standards to maintain compliance.
- Capable of completing inherent risk assessments for all raw materials and packaging items.
- Knowledge of vegan requirements and capable of completing vegan questionnaires to support the sites with their risk assessments where appropriate.
- Remain on top of lapses in certifications, changes and supplier information, ensuring that raw material and supplier data is always current and in-date.
- Experience in a FMCG Industry
- Good understanding of customer, legislative and group polices.
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail

**Education (Desirable)**
- Degree in Food Science or another appropriate discipline.
- CIEH Level 3 Food Safety certificate
