Everyone wants safe and high-quality healthcare. At THIS Institute (The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute), we believe efforts to improve care should always be based on the highest quality evidence. In this role, you will assist with the design and implementation of an ambitious communications and engagement strategy that builds THIS' Institute's profile and reputation as a research institute that is grounded in the issues that matter most to NHS staff and patients, and advocates for better use of evidence in healthcare policy and practice.

You will lead the institute's strategy for corporate and research communications. You will oversee, quality assure and sign off communications plans, messaging, and activity within defined areas of responsibility. In addition, you will lead our work to improve equity, diversity, and inclusion practices across all our communications and engagement activities.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who can grasp complex academic ideas and communicate effectively. You will have a track record of developing and implementing high-profile communications and engagement strategies that draw on a range of communications tools and disciplines, including digital communications, public affairs, academic editorship and publishing, brand management, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, events management, marketing, and data management.
