We are looking fora Clinical Leadto provide expertise, clinical support and guidance to our clozapine, depot and physical health clinics for our Mental Health & Wellness Teams in Havering.

The post holder will hold a Nursing qualification to degree level or equivalent and have experience of working within Mental Health services.

Come and be part of our newly launched, integrated Mental Health & Wellness Teams in Havering. These new teams have merged assessment/early intervention and recovery teams, removing the need for a two-tier service and no more hand off of patients from one service to another.
1. Provide clinical oversight & support for the clozapine, depot & physical health clinics.
2. Challenge health & service inequities though quality and governance frameworks.
3. Ensure that clinics are run safely & according to best practice standards.
4. Provide specialist clinical advice within clinics.
5. Be responsible for organising and prioritising own workload, whilst being able to work flexibly to meet the needs of their service users, relatives, carers and the service.
6. Deputise when required in the absence of Clinical/Operational Leads & delegate appropriately to more junior team member
7. Have a robust & through knowledge of relevant Trust protocols & procedures & ensure they are adhered to.
8. Ensure that all necessary clinical records are accurate & well maintained & to undertake & oversee audits.
9. Manage the rotas of nurses & / or STR workers working in the clinics.
10. Ensure that the necessary medications are ordered for each clinic.
11. Ensure that service users clinic appointments are well managed & that when they do not attend clinics, that the necessary key worker & leads are informed & service users are booked into next clozapine clinic.
12. Ensure that all necessary supplies & equipment for the clinics are well maintained and available.
13. Ensure any challenges to the clinics functioning effectively are resolved, or where this is not possible, that the issues are escalated to senior management for support.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,108 to a maximum of £5,177).

Our vision is for this new investment to help start a new era in our mental healthcare provision at NELFT, making us among the most holistic, relational and person-centred services in the country.

Our aims include a greater focus on prevention and wellbeing and delivering more integrated and personalised care closer to home. By working with Primary Care Networks (PCN) and local partners in each borough, NELFT propose to support plans by using a “Neighbourhood Team” model of care to develop multi-agency, integrated and place-based care to support people with serious mental health needs to receive their care closer to home.
In alignment with the Community Mental Health Framework for Adults, we intend for our teams to be trauma informed and person-centred, putting relationships back into the heart of care; all team members will receive training in new ways of working including Open Dialogue and trauma informed approaches to care. The successful applicant must be trained in:

- Venepuncture
- The use of POCHI machines
- Undertaking depot medication injections
- The use of physical health equipment, including ECG machine, blood pressure machine, and all other relevant devices
