Programmes Officer - Projects Manager

Upto £30,000

Based in Medway - ME4

We are recruiting for a Programmes Officer to join a Medway based voluntary organisation. In this new role you'll be joining our client and working in their thriving and widely respected programmes team. You will help to lead a team of highly motivated andsuccessful staff to plan, deliver and evaluate a variety of innovative projects.

Supporting the Programmes Director you will help to plan, execute, supervise and report on contracts and programmes. Helping to achieve strategic objectives and to ensure programme delivery is within budget and on time.

You will be part of the team helping to deliver outstanding outcomes for local charities and communities. The company mission is to support communities to become more active, empowered and connected. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual, preferably with experience of working with projects and an understanding or experience of working in the voluntary sector.

Typical projects - Engagement projects in which they work with the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to deliver focus groups on behalf of the Health and Care Partnership (H&CP). The engagement might be in relation to a range of health topics (e.g. diabetes,outpatient services) and seeks to gain insights from local communities on their views on these issues - these insights help to inform local strategic health decisions. Another project is an engagement project in which the work with the VCS to deliver focusgroups on behalf of Macmillan. The engagement is in relation to barriers to communities accessing cancer services and the insights gained will be used to help inform how cancer services should be developed to achieve better health outcomes for local people.
