**About the Route Design Scientific Fellow**:
Within this role, you will work closely with our technical directors to operationalise their vision for route design within CatSci, providing key contributions to business cases around how improvements will contribute to business goals. You will also have the opportunity to work directly on customer projects focused on route design and build capability within the community to enable CatSci's project teams to select the intermediates that feature in drug substance manufacture processes.

**Your Impact as an Route Design Scientific Fellow**:

- Coordinating capability build activities and training for the community that enables CatSci project teams to select the intermediates that feature in drug substance manufacturing processes
- Liaising with Technical Directors to help operationalise their vision for route design within CatSci. This will involve contributing to business cases around how improvements will contribute to business goals
- Following scientific and technological developments, participating in consortia and collaborations, and making knowledge and technology so acquired available within the CatSci community
- Working directly on one or more customer projects focused on route design
- Proactively providing technical guidance, challenge and problem solving to customer projects focused on route design and supporting proposals for new projects
- Ensuring work of self and others is performed in accordance with appropriate Safety, Health & Environment, quality and compliance standards

**Requirements for Route Design Scientific Fellow**:

- Professional expertise gained through at least ten years' postdoctoral experience, supporting the design, development and manufacture of drug substance
- A track record of exceptional examples of creative route design, that have moved Chemical Development projects forward
- Recognised externally as a scientific leader in the theory and practice of drug substance development, through peer-reviewed publications and contributions to industry consortia
- Demonstrated experience of using a mixture of scientific leadership, coaching and mentoring to support less experienced colleagues in navigating the experimental design to project decision cycle
- Regularly leverages a well-established professional network to create value for customers
- Consistently holds self and others accountable for the achievement of performance expectations
- Demonstrates genuine commitment to the time and effort needed to develop oneself and others
- Displays a commitment to wellbeing of self and others

**Benefits**:
