About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, flexible hard working individual to join the Waste Water Network Performance Team (Vactoring Team) within Customer Service Delivery. You will be responsible for carrying out Wet Well and sewer related cleaning activities, high pressure jetting clearing and a variety of other tasks.

This role is primarily field based and contains an element of lone working. Full training and protection will be provided to enable you to carry out the role.

As an Operative, you will be responsible for the execution of site work ensuring maintenance, repair, and installation of networks is carried out in a safe and efficient manner. You will make sure that all work complies with the relevant H&S safety process and work practices to eliminate or minimise risks to health, safety and welfare of themselves, other employees and general public who come in contact with their site works.

In addition you will carry out site specific risk assessments, carry out relevant vehicle and plant checks before use and ensure the most efficient and effective use of resources including labour, plant and material.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours

In this role you will communicate with internal and external customers in regards to work being carried out on site. Giving progress reports where necessary and always ensuring our customers get excellent service.- Have strong problem solving skills and a dedication to find a solution to any issues that arise within the site.- Have experience or an understanding of working within a strong Health & Safety culture to ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.- Be a quick learner, with the ability to use new computer systems and on-line learning modules which are essential to the role.- Be a strong team player, who can work well with others to achieve common goals.- The ability to plan and prioritise your work, whilst maintaining flexibility to accommodate changing priorities.- Experience or an understanding of working within a strong Health & Safety culture to ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.- Be a strong team player, who can work well with others to achieve common goals and have a willingness to learn from others.- The ability to find creative and innovative solutions to issues by evaluating all of the evidence and information available develop a way forward.

Experience we are looking for:
- For this role it is essential that you have a full current driving licence (HGV essential), have NRSWA, HCOP to operator level and are experienced in all aspects of repair and maintenance activities on a water network.-
- This role is being advertised basis where you will work up to 37 hours per week, 5 hour contractual Overtime

Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours- Represent Scottish Water acting as first point of contact for all customer enquiries, ensuring that top class customer service is given at all times- Be required to comply with Scottish Water health & safety policies and with statutory obligations

You must have a full current driving licence and we will consider a range of working hours.

Salary Range - 21,053.00 - 28,425.00 GBP Annual (Dependant on Skills and Experience)
