**Job Summary**:
The role of the FBS is to lead the F & B team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the F & B areas. You are required to supervise and help coordinate all F & B activities which includes Conference and Banqueting and ensuring that outstanding guest service is provided at all times across our dining areas, delivering memorable experiences and leading the team members by example, hands on, by their side. You will be supervising the team, allocating tasks, meeting and greeting the guests and clients for events, checking in and there to offer a fond farewell at the end of their dining experience. In addition you will also assist in delivering training to F & B staff.

**Duties**:

- Assist in the leading, managing, supervising and development of the team:

- Assist in the Induction both legally, culturally and into the department
- Train
- Coach
- Motivate
- Team build and moral
- Staff welfare
- Monitor performance, ensure others fulfil their job guides and code of conduct and follow all Health and Safety and legislative processes
- Manage conflict
- Assist in the Organisation and co-ordination of operations:

- Report to the on duty manager
- Liaise with the Hotel Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Events Wedding and Sales Manger and attend HOD/Ops meetings
- Allocate work in their absence
- Supervise the team in their absence
- Prepare in advance for the shift - ensure all requests will be met if not exceeded
- Plan - assist the RM, BM, HM in the daily, weekly, monthly tasks, training activities, briefings, staffing
- Communicate to the team all relevant information passed down from RM, BM, HM
- Assist RM, BM in Stock control/ordering

**About you**:

- You will need the ability to lead a team, plan other peoples work, organise the department, delegate, co-ordinate and prioritise the department teams work, supervise and monitor the team’s performance
- You will need excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills to resolve issues and conflicts creating win win solutions
- You will need the ability to make decisions effectively and follow through to completion.
- Good IT skills able to use Excel, Word and other hotel systems

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
