An opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join an international law firm, in London with 50% hybrid working on a full time, permanent basis.

The HR Advisor will work closely with the Head of HR and Global Recruitment Team in a generalist HR role. The role will include leading on middle level employee relations cases and benefits and well-being matters as well as working closely with the RecruitmentManager.

**Key responsibilities**:
**Recruitment and on-boarding**
- Support the Global Recruitment team to drive staffing and recruitment activities for the London office.
- Collating salary surveys and analyse compensation information.
- Working with the recruitment manager to track and see through new and live roles
- Reference checks and production of contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Assist international employees with relocation and related HR matters.
- Work with the Head of HR to develop an internship programme.

**Benefits, Compensation and Policy Administration**
- Provide input into the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures.
- Advise managers/practice group leaders and employees on general benefits and compensation-related matters and forward high level issues to the Head of HR and benefits team.
- Assist managers and practice group leaders with developing position descriptions and conducting job classifications.
- Assist with the administration of the Year-End appraisal process and regular check-ins.

**Employee Relations**
- Act as the first line of contact in Human Resources for any probation related issues or entry to mid-level employee relations issues involving employees and line managers.
- Conduct regular meetings with respective teams and practice group leaders to build and maintain good working relationships with HR.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, business leads and partners on a wide variety of issues such as training needs, poor performance, policy interpretations, career development, conflict management, and other issues impacting productivity and/or morale.
- Support, develop and coach business line managers / partners to manage employee relations issues
- Able to support formal capability, disciplinary or grievance hearings.

**Projects and Strategy**
- Be part of the global HR team in the implementation of the strategic HR Plan, projects and initiatives.
- Support the delivery and implementation of HR global projects.
- Support the design and implementation of a well-being strategy for the London office.
- Identify local projects and HR initiatives in-line with the business objectives.

**Administration, Systems and Records**
- Promote the use of HR systems, policies and processes, challenging appropriately as necessary.
- Manage exit processes for staff, carrying out exit interviews.
- Ensure Payroll, Pension and Benefits are accurately administered on a monthly basis.
- Oversee, input and regularly update employee information into the firm's HRIS.
- Work with the Office Manager to administer health, safety and well-being plans for the office.

**Skill and Experience**
- CIPD qualification preferred.
- Technically strong HR Advisor/generalist with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a legal / professional or financial services environment, ideally in a business operating across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to identify and implement pragmatic HR solutions.
