SDEC is looking for an Admin Assistant to support the smooth running of booking in patients & appointments along with general clerical working.

37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday

You will have excellent written verbal and IT communication skills and be highly organised You will be able to deliver set work pieces efficiently, taking direction on priorities from the clinical team, meeting deadlines, be adaptable, capable, and resilient.

The duties consist of patient registration on our Patient Centre IT program (full training will be given). Other duties include filing, Admissions/ Discharges, faxing, scanning, appointment booking and working as part of a team, which supports the Emergency Services.

You will be first point of contact for patients, visitors and other Health care Professionals, and will receive them in a professional and courteous manor.

The role will involve working with confidential information and dealing with sensitive issues so a knowledge of data protection and safeguarding would be an advantage. The post holder would need to provide a courteous, efficient, and professional service, making a valuable contribution to support patient care from the time of admission, transfer to discharge.

To complete administration tasks and input information on to electronic record systems/CERNA following trust guidelines.

To answer the telephone and deal with any queries in a professional manner, as agreed by the service.

To communicate information to and receive information from managers, colleagues, and others, whilst being aware of the need to maintain confidentiality.

Take responsibility to minimize incurred expenditure e.g. telephone calls, use of stationery etc.
