How does the Bank work?
Departments looking for short term cover will contact the Bank on Us team to provide cover. As a Bank member of staff you will be asked if you are interested in filling the roles available. Bank work is typically done on a placement basis, this ranges from a minimum of 1 week to 6 months. If you are interested in the assignment, you will be required to submit your CV for the Departmental Manager to review and make a decision. Duties are a mixture of on site and home working although this will be decided by the department depending on their requirements.
Bank hourly rates:
Band 3 - £ per hour Band 4 - £ per hourPlease note, this is not for a specific position, this advert is for the opportunity to join the Bank Admin pool, once registered on the Bank, you will then have the opportunity to apply for any available Bank Admin roles in our Trust. As this is Bank, we cannot guarantee hours.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for passionate, hardworking and engaging people to help fill our temporary admin and clerical vacancies across the Trust.
Successful candidates will be able to:
Work effectively in a team Possess strong interpersonal skills Have an ability to prioritise tasks Demonstrate a flexible attitude and approach Be able to adapt to different tasks in diverse settings/departments Competence of using Microsoft Outlook/Word Aptitude for learning new IT systems quickly (particularly for band 3 and 4 roles)Through the application and selection process it would be advantageous if you could provide evidence of these skills and related experience in a busy working environment. Experience of data entry and using Excel would be an advantage for band 3 and 4 roles. Successful appointments to band 4 roles will be able to demonstrate a background of working without supervision. Experience working within the NHS is desirable but not essential.
Mandatory training and training on various department systems will be given, dependant on work allocation.

Job responsibilities
You will be required to help in the various disciplines and departments that either have vacant posts that are waiting to be recruited into, or to assist departments with their additional admin requirements. Potential administration duties include but are not limited to; answering phones, data entry, filing, typing, using ASPH trust computer systems as required (training will be provided).
Please note we currently do not have weekend or evening shifts, most of our bank work is between the hours of 9am to 5pm
