An opportunity for an experienced and dependable Executive Assistant to play an instrumental role in closely supporting Managing Director of a country estate.

The role will work closely with the MD and will require someone who consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism, organisation and reliability. It will involve liaison with a wide range of people internally and externally, as well as in areasof management, finance, business development and marketing.

In all cases, the role will require a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and emotional intelligence to approach situations appropriately, demonstrating a high level of courtesy and professionalism in all communications.

Key Duties of the Executive Assistant
- Filter, respond to and/or redirect incoming communications when required.
- Diary Management
- Arrange meetings with internal and external people
- Liaise with the team to ensure coordination and forward-planning of reoccurring meetings and events
- Lead on the planning and preparation of meetings and engagements.
- Draft agendas and meeting packs, collating information internally and externally, and circulate to the attendees suitably in advance of the meeting.
- Assist in the preparation of Board Reports.
- Arrange logistics such as lunch bookings, site visits and travel when required.
- On occasions, attend meetings and take minutes.
- Follow-up meetings by sending out minutes/actions/notes.
- Monitor and check Governance and Risk related critical actions are being properly carried out internally.
- Liaise with external individuals such as advisers, consultants, investment managers, agents and solicitors as required and chase work that is due.
- Document Management.
- Project Management.
- Assist with branding, marketing, and business development projects for a growing hospitality business.
- Assist with some personal administration when required, such as personal documentation, compliance and insurance policies, contracts and invoices etc.

The successful EA will be:

- Highly organised, proactive, diligent, and attentive to detail.
- Courteous and personable.
- Discreet and confidential.
- Adaptable and agile to switch between different work streams and situations.
- Excellent at written English and excellent communication skills.
- A track-record of successfully working in similar roles in both corporate and smaller businesses, ideally involving a family business.

Based about 15 minutes north of Hertford, the Estate Office is in a rural location in the centre of the estate park. The offices are smart and provide a comfortable working environment in a recently refurbished historic building. There is plenty of parking
