**About the role**

As our Extra Care Officer, you will be delivering the supported housing management service for Extra Care housing services; effectively managing referrals, offers, completing tenancy sign ups, processing terminations, void checks and undertaking new tenancyvisits.

You will liaise with local authority housing and social services and other stakeholder statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure the timely allocation of properties, as well as carry out inspections at schemes including routine health and safety checksand undertake property MOT visits. You’ll ensure the prompt and efficient turnaround of tenancies to keep rent loss to a minimum and monitor the quality-of-service charge funded services.

**About you**

We are looking for someone with experience working in a similar role with vulnerable or older customers, providing information, advice and guidance as well as dealing with problems and complaints promptly and effectively. You will need knowledge of currenthousing legislation, the ability to work under your own initiative and manage difficult situations with excellent verbal and communication skills to provide a customer focused service.

Enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check required in line with safeguarding policies.
