**BACKGROUND TO THE POST**

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised, proactive and has excellent administrative skills. You will need superb customer service skills, and be someone who can communicate effectively and provide support, guidance and advice to our customers. Strong organisational skills are needed to structure your own day and meet targets as you will be building close relationships with managers and staff.

The Recruitment Team sits with our HR department. The wider HR function includes a generalist HR team, Learning & Development, Payroll, Health & Safety and Recruitment. The function supports WCG across all College sites and the Resourcing Assistant will be based in Leamington Spa.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Some of the key duties for this role are listed below:

- Collating recruitment papers for consideration at our Post Management Group (PMG)
- Ensuring Job Descriptions are correct and in the correct format. The post holder will also support managers in the production of these documents
- Writing adverts and advertising vacancies on a range of online and social media
- Providing pro-active vacancy support by monitoring hard to fill vacancies, developing pro-active recruitment methods to reduce the time taken to fill our vacancies
- Support managers on the interview panel
- Support the administration associated with new starters and leavers
- Manage own and departmental incoming calls and inbox on a daily basis, responding to enquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintaining personal files and departmental archiving

**Essential Attainments**:

- The ability to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines on an ongoing basis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to demonstrate high attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, typed documents (job descriptions and adverts etc.)

**Desirable Attainments**:

- Previous experience of working within staff recruitment is desirable but not essential.

**Essential Skills and Knowledge**:

- Previous experience of, prioritising work and demonstrable experience of the ability to successfully meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of working within a confidential environment.
- Previous experience of working in a busy, fast paced administrative / office based role
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills with both a professional telephone manner and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A good team player, with the ability to work well within a team and support the HR function and WCG managers.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of Equality and Diversity.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to demonstrate behaviours which support the Core Values of the College.
