**Job Title**: Young Adult Carer Support Adviser (Mentoring Project)

**Salary**: £23,250 per annum pro-rata

**Contract**: Fixed Term to 31 March 2025

**Hours**: 22.5 Hours per week - Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and Saturdays as and when required

**Location**: Flexible working within the Medway Locality

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Medway Team. We are currently seeking a Young Adult Carer Support Adviser to join our team in Medway.

The requirement of the role will be to establish a mentoring service to young adult carers (16-25 years) as identified through assessments and reviews. This will include running support groups and activities; providing advice and wellbeing support; occasionally working flexible to include evenings and weekend; partnership working to identify young carers and young adult carers in educational settings.

To be successful you will have experience of working with adults and young people either in a 1-1 or group setting, a working knowledge of health and social care particularly in relation to adults and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A high standard of written skills is needed, in order to help the carer identify their support needs and build resilience.
