**What will you be doing?**:
The Society is fully embracing new office ways of working culture, so a mixture of both office (Lichfield) and home working is on offer.
Our Support Centre in Lichfield is a hub of activity and a base for all our teams such as Member, Customer and People, Finance, Technology, Data and Analytics and Commercial. As our Senior People Partner, you’ll work collaboratively with our Executive and Leadership teams across our Support Centre functions, providing expertise, coaching and challenge.
We have a clear purpose - ‘to create a sustainable society for all’ and over the past year, we have built our culture ‘we are the difference makers’ with 4 key areas of focus on around the way that we work
- We make a difference for members and customers
- We’re better every day
- We work together with purpose
- We’re a caring community
Holding the Leadership and Executive Team accountable for delivering our overall People Plan for the Support Centre, you’ll help our leaders to shape their own operational People Plans for each function, including shaping organisational design and advising on any associated change management.
You’ll support the implementation of behaviours and cultures that drives innovation and colleague engagement whilst supporting leaders in creating and embedding a culture of high performance. This includes leading our engagement strategy for the Support Centre and our agenda with our ‘Colleague Voice’ forum so that we have highly engaged colleagues.
Working collaboratively with other members of the People Team, you’ll play a key part in the overall colleague lifecycle for all strategic people matters such as talent, recruitment, attrition, learning and development - sharing insight to shape the work, through to helping launch, embed and measure its success.
This is a highly visible role at Central Coop and with your commercial and business acumen, you will have a strong understanding of our Society objectives, have the ability to align these to our People strategy and be able to measure tangible and successful outcomes.
**How will I know if I am right for this role?**:
Already a successful People Partner, you’ll make a real difference to our colleagues through the strong relationships that you build and have the confidence to influence, challenge and coach senior leaders.
You’ll be well informed and connected to what is going on both externally and internally to help shape and drive initiatives that will make the biggest difference to our colleagues. Interpreting and analysing people data will be a natural skill for you that help you make informed decisions that shape future priorities.
We’re looking for a CIPD (or equivalent) qualification and someone who has a good all-round practical and theoretical HR knowledge along with working collaboratively with Trade Unions. Previous experience of complex ER cases with an excellent understanding of UK employment legislation is also important.
**What is in it for me?**
In addition to our competitive salaries, our colleagues also benefit from:
- Fantastic colleague discount
- including a discount of up to 20% on our products.
- Retail discounts
- our new hub offers colleagues access to hundreds of exclusive retail discounts, save money on days out and take advantage of holiday discounts.
- Holiday buy
- colleagues can buy up to a week extra of annual leave each year to enjoy the things that matter to them outside of work.
- Colleague recognition
- we make sure we celebrate our colleague’s achievements both personally and professionally
- Enhanced family friendly policies
- we want to help you feel fully supported during any significant life events.
- Paid time for volunteering
- we encourage our colleagues to spend three days per year taking part in volunteering, fully paid for by us.
- Give as you earn
- as a caring society, we want to help you support charities which mean something to you.
- Healthcare Cashplan
- your wellbeing is important, so you are able contribute to a voluntary plan that helps pay towards a range of healthcare expenses.
- Company Pension
- Colleagues can access a company pension scheme with us and receive an employer contribution when they too contribute. We also offer Pension wellbeing information to help you plan for retirement.
- Life Assurance
- You’ll get free life assurance cover, that pays your nominated beneficiary if you die while you’re working for us.
- Personalised learning and development
- with easy access to a wide range of training programmes
**Who are we?**:
As a progressive Co-operative Society, we want the people in our communities to thrive, for generations to come. Our people are the energy behind this positive change.
